2.1 Drain4U operates a referral and dispatch service. We receive enquiries from customers who need drainage work, gather basic information about the job, and refer the enquiry to one or more independent drainage contractors in our partner network ("Engineer").
2.2 We do not carry out drainage work ourselves. We do not employ Engineers. Each Engineer is an independent business operating under their own trading name, with their own insurance, qualifications and tax arrangements.
2.3 The contract for the carrying out of any drainage work is between you and the Engineer. Drain4U is not party to that contract.
3.1 Although Drain4U does not carry out work directly, we vet every Engineer in our network before they receive any enquiry. Vetting includes:
3.2 If you are not satisfied with work carried out by an Engineer introduced through Drain4U, please contact us at [email protected]. While we are not legally responsible for the work, we will use reasonable efforts to mediate between you and the Engineer, including asking the Engineer to return at no charge or arranging an alternative Engineer where appropriate.
4.1 All prices for work are agreed between you and the Engineer. Drain4U does not set or guarantee prices.
4.2 Indicative prices shown on the Drain4U website ("from £X") are typical guide prices for our network. The actual price for your job will be quoted by the attending Engineer before any work begins.
4.3 You pay the Engineer directly for any work. Payment terms are as agreed between you and the Engineer.
5.1 Where you contact us in respect of an emergency (defined as flooding, sewage backup, or other event causing immediate risk of damage), we will use reasonable endeavours to dispatch an Engineer the same day. We do not guarantee any specific response time.
6.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
6.2 Subject to clause 6.1, Drain4U's total liability to you arising out of or in connection with our referral service shall not exceed £100.

7.2 By submitting an enquiry, you consent to Drain4U sharing your contact details and the details of your enquiry with one or more Engineers in our network for the purpose of providing you with a quote and carrying out work.
8.1 The Drain4U name, logo, website content and trade mark are the property of Chat Genius AI Ltd. You may not use them without our written permission.
9.1 If you wish to make a complaint about Drain4U or about an Engineer introduced by Drain4U, please email [email protected] with the subject line "Complaint". We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and respond substantively within 10 working days.
10.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the version published on this page on the date of your enquiry.
11.1 These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
